# Alfaaz

> Alfaaz is an Android app that turns shayari, ghazals, nazms, kavita and quotes into video reels. People recite their words on camera with a teleprompter and AI captions timed to their voice, or choose an animated style where the words appear in step with their recorded voice or music. It supports Urdu (Nastaliq), Hindi (Devanagari), Roman Urdu/Hinglish and English.

Key facts:
- Free to download; unlimited reels for free, carrying the Alfaaz mark. Alfaaz Creators (subscription through Google Play) removes the mark and end card, unlocks every template, and adds more AI use. Prices are shown in the app.
- Free AI allowance, per phone: 5 picture reads, 5 translations and 2 minutes of AI captions a month. Creators: more picture reads and translations every day, and 30 minutes of AI captions a month.
- No account needed to start; sign in with Google later.
- Poems, recordings and reels stay on the phone. AI features ask permission first and send only what each request needs: a picture to read, text to translate, or a recitation's audio (not its video) to caption. That content is not used to train AI models.
- Translations are by meaning, in simple English, not word for word.
- Includes a library of public-domain classics (Mirza Ghalib, Mir Taqi Mir, Allama Iqbal, Kabir and others), with the poet named. Most modern poetry is under copyright.
